PAINTED WAGON SEAT -EARLY 19th CENTURY

A great looking and superbly made 19th century painted wagon seat. The four strong   supports for the seat are blacksmith made which includes the  nuts and bolts. The wooden supports under the bench are secured with square nails. Excellent condition with no repairs or loss. Totally original.((LDKE)

*TIGER MAPLE DISH TOP CANDLESTAND - 18th CENTURY

A magnificent 18th century tiger maple dish top candle standoffs New York origin. Note the vase and ring turnings on the turned tiger maple post and the circular top with the exquisite   carved molded gallery. The round base is extremely interesting with geometric shapes on top housing a a most interesting pegged post and mortised leg construction.Take a look!!!  Note also the shaped and turned tiger maple legs. While there is an age crack on the top and some lost on the molded gallery considering the age

ARMED BOW-BACKED WINDSOR CHAIR 1765-1780

A great design and well made 1765-1780 armed bow-back Windsor with long tapering legs which are associated with New England. Note the curved  mortised arms through the bow and ending in a turned hand rest, the seven spindles and the saddled shield shaped seat. Also note, all legs and stretchers retain bold turnings which only add to the overall beauty. (AOTK)

SLAT-BACK ARMCHAIR ca:1720

A very early 18th century slat-back armchair with four turned heavy posts. The two back posts end in nicely turned ball and vase finials and the two front posts are mortised into the extended curved arms with a vase and ring decoration.   As with most slat back chairs of this period, the chair has double stretchers on three sides and a single stretcher in rear and the three heavy slats are arched on top and flat on bottom. The splint seat is old and in good condition. As expected of a chair of this age, the chair has been stabilized using two inconspicuous rods. (OTKDE)

ca:1820 PA. DISH TOP CANDLE TABLE

A ca:1820 dish top candle stand (platform stand) with a beautiful old finish (original?) and great patina. I find it interesting that it has a three board dish top which has keep the top absolutely flat with no warping. Note the shape of the batten (or cleat), the nice urn, vase and ring turnings on the post and legs. The base with its mortised legs and post which has that nice form which is common to platform stands of this period. No repairs, cracks etc. (HKTE)

*TWO DOOR HANGING/COUNTER TOP CUPBOARD -EARLY 19th CENTURY

An interesting and functional all original  two door early 19th century hanging or counter top cupboard. The wood is hand planed, original pulls, period  hinges with rose head nails and a wonderful red wash. Each door has two battens attached on the interior with square nails to prevent warping. PAINTED CANDLE TABLE 1790-1830

A fine looking 1790-1830 candle stand with strong spider legs and a well turned urn column. The red paint appears to be original with  appropriate ware throughout. Note the cutouts on the four corners of the top  and the dovetailing of the legs into the column. There is an fine old repair on one of the legs where it is attached to the column (see photo). (ATKE)

QUEEN ANNE MAPLE DROP LEAF TABLE ca:1750

A beautiful American (probably New England) ca:1750 maple Queen Anne drop leaf table. This table has a pegged top and legs, wonderful Queen Anne feet, a carved skirt on the ends, swing legs and a nice oval shape when opened.There is an age crack on the top about 2/3 of the way down.
