ca:1840 SEAT TABLE WITH TRACES OF RED PAINT

This is a great looking ca: 1840 seat table with mortise and tenon construction, square nails, hand forged screws and a scrubbed two board top. As expected, if one looks at the base and under the top the traces of the original red paint are extensive. The height of the table (28 1/2") and the fact that the table it is a round seat table allows at least 4-6 people to sit around it with no problems. The table is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage. (LEDETE)

WORK TABLE ca:1820

A  ca:1820 work table with  mortised and pegged stretchers that exhibit appropriate ware.  A pegged (some later nails) one board scrubbed top that has age cracks reflective of age and use. A mustard base with pegged legs. The table is in good condition with  no apparent repairs. (AKTE)

CHILD'S SLAT-BACK TABLE CHAIR ca:1740

The simple turned post design indicates the chair was made in the 18th century. Note the ware on the stretchers, the replaced seat with square nails, the  original arms and the nicely turned finial. With the exception of the seat, the chair is all original and in good condition. (LDAK)

FOUR TIER CORNER SHELF-19th CENTURY

A substantial corner shelf  with four graduated shelfs ranging in size from 14 1/2" to
7 1/2" (from corner to edge of shelf). The reddish-brown shelf is nicely designed and well made with square nails (some round nails added later). The shelf requires a 14 1/2" wall and is in excellent condition. (DAETE)

BENCH/COFFEE TABLE 19th CENTURY

A wonderful bench or coffee table which can also be used as a game or toy table.Note that the legs are attached with a "bolt" designed and made by a blacksmith. Note also the one board top and the outstanding condition of this great looking table. (BODK)

FOUR QUEEN ANNE SIDE CHAIRS-ca:1790

While this is not an exact set, they are Connecticut Queen Anne ca: 1790 fiddleback chairs. Similar chairs are in the Thomas Lee House, East Lyme Historical Society, Niantic. Note the nicely shaped flat crest rail, vase and ring turnings on the back posts, sausage, ring and ball turning on the front legs and the exquisite ring and vase front stretcher. The double stretcher on the sides provides extra support and stability. The splint seats are old . A nice looking group of chairs in good condition.(TBLEDE)

PAINTED SHERATON BENCH

PAINTED COUNTER TOP or HANGING CUPBOARD ca:1850

A  good looking well made one door ca:1850 green cupboard in outstanding condition. The case is completely  dovetailed and the door is a full mortised door with a raised panel. The cupboard retains its original square nailed back and has 14 pigeonholes in the interior. (HTLK)

A ca:1820 pewter cupboard with old green over an earlier red paint. The cupboard is square nailed, retains the original hinges, has boot jack feet, plate bar and the original back. "DEERFIELD" REVERSE BANNISTER BACK SIDE CHAIR 1720-1750

The "Deerfield" chair from the  CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY that reversed its banisters i.e. not the flat, but the round side faced forward . Note the sausage and ring front posts, the curved crest and seat rail and the vase shaped back posts with their interesting finials. Note also the delicate turning of the double front stretcher as well as the early or original rush seat. Excellent condition. (LOTK)
