DEERFIELD REVERSE BANNISTER BACK SIDE CHAIR 1720-1750

The "Deerfield" chair from the  CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY that reversed its banisters i.e. not the flat, but the round side faced forward . Note the sausage and ring front posts, the curved crest and seat rail and the vase shaped back posts with their interesting finials. Note also the delicate turning of the double front stretcher as well as the early or original rush seat. Excellent condition. (KKTE)

Philadelphia Mahogany Server ca:1810-1815

A good looking two drawer server featuring flame mahogany drawer fronts, dovetailed , chamfered and bonded drawers. Note the turned and tapered legs ending in bun feet. While the table top and the front panel on one drawer have age cracks, the server is a wonderful example of Philadelphia craftsmanship. (BALE)

NEW ENGLAND EARLY 19th CENTURY TRIPOD PAINTED CANDLE STAND

TALL RED PAINTED STOOL ca: 1900

A NICE OLD WELL MADE  RED PAINTED STOOL IN GREAT CONDITION. THE LEGS HAVE A FULL MORTISE INTO THE SEAT AND THE STRETCHERS ARE MORTISED INTO THE LEGS. THE SEAT IS NICELY SHAPED FOR COMFORT AND IS 1 3/4" THICK. THE PAINT IS VERY OLD BUT MAY NOT BE ORIGINAL. THE STOOL IS ALL ORIGINAL. 30"HIGH (AKTE)

EARLY19th CENTURY PAINTED LIFT TOP DESK WITH ONE DRAWER

A nice size painted student lift top desk with original hinges, lock, dovetailed drawer (pulls replaced) and the original gallery. Note that the bread board ends on the lift top are held in place by early t-nails. Note also, the painted interior with a shelf and two"secret" compartments.The construction is mortised and pegged. The desk is in outstanding condition with no breaks  or repairs.  (TCEDE)

TWO DRAWER TABLE ca:1820

A very early two drawer table with the original dark blue paint in a nice dry attic finish. This table features mortised and pegged construction and dovetailed drawers. The top drawer appears to have the original brass pulls while the bottom drawer has early replaced pulls. The top is a scrub top with two age cracks and a very early repair. The body and legs have the expected paint loss. However, the construction is solid with no additional loss or repairs.(CKDE)

Side Table 18th Century

A magnificent one board top mahogany side table. Note the very thin one board top, original glue blocks and the full mortise stretcher. Also note the beaded outer corners and incised skirt. The table came out of the Texaco corporate office and still retains its inventory tag.(OOO/OSK)

Tripod Stand ca:1800

An exquisite all original ca:1800 cherry "candle " stand. Note the bulbous vase and ring post, the graceful and elegant snake feet and its decorative base with chip carving. The legs are typically dovetailed into the post from the bottom and held by  iron straps (square and rosehead nails). Note also, the great patina of the  one board beveled top  (small age crack) held by square and rosehead nails. Wonderful overall condition. (DAN)
