WI RUSH and CANDLE HOLDER 18th CENTURY 16"H

This is a rather unusual tripod wrought iron 18th century rush and candle holder due to its height of 16" and the design where the candle socket is actually higher than the rush holder. The wear on the penny feet and the rolled  candle socket (look how the socket was hammered out and then rolled) reflect extensive use. Excellent condition. (ACTK)

Rushlight/Candle Holder ca:1700-1750

An interesting design for a candle stand  and rushlight. The candleholder is not stationary as it normally is with this design but is movable back and forth. However, it works well.The feet and candleholder are well worn. The candleholder has a nice twist on its stem and the turns on the feet and the ends of the rush holder make the overall design interesting.(KTKE)

WHALE OIL HURRICANE LANTERN ca. 1850

The perforated tin base and top collar combine with a glass globe to provide an ideal lantern for use with a whale oil lamp. The large ring is designed to encircle the arm, leaving both hands free. The tin whale oil lamp is removed by compressing two latches recessed in the bottom. The globe has imperfections. Complete and good condition.(LSTK)

WI 18th CENTURY FLOOR CANDLE LIGHT WITH RUSH OR SPLINT HOLDER

This 18th century lamp was made by an extraordinary blacksmith. We have never seen a wrought iron floor lamp with so many twists, swirls on the stem,  feet  and rush holder. A wonderful piece in outstanding condition.(RKTE)

FLEMISH SPOUT LAMP 18th-19th CENTURY

This is an interesting sheet brass lamp since it has a flat weighted base which permit the lamp to sit on a table and due to flat back of the base and the hanging hole it can also be used as a wall sconce.In this lamp, the reservoir and spout snugly fit cup with a matching channel catch the drip. Note also that the cup has a ring on the side to hold a splint or rush to light the wick. Complete and in excellent condition (one small dent on base). 18th CENTURY TINNED SHEET IRON CANDLE STICK

A strong looking 18th century candlestick. Note the crimped base which is attached to a wooden base using rose head nails and the large crimped drip pan (4 1/2"). The funneled stem adds to the overall simplicity of this candlestick. (AETE)

18TH. CENTURY TABLE TOP LIGHTING STAND

A very nice adjustable candle lighting stand. This table top lighting piece has an unusual  ring loop at the top for candle support and a wrought iron drip catcher pan. It also has a carrying hook or chair hook ending in a jar tai.
Note the lovely scrolled feet. It is a very good example of American, New England, 18th century lighting. The lighting stand is 16 1/4” tall to top of carrying loop. The drip pan is 6 1/2” diameter. (TKHE)

UNIQUE PAIR OF GOOSENECK STRAP SCONCES: 1770-1810

This 18th century pair of gooseneck strap sconces are of PA origin. The rectangular back,  ribbonlike arm extensions and the crimped drip pans all add to the delightful  form of these sconces. Note the early rectangular "push out" on the side of the candle holder to help remove the candle stub as well as the punched nail holes in the hanging bracket.
