PAINTED GAME BOARD - 19th CENTURY
A 19th century painted one board game board with a square nailed attached frame. The bittersweet and black paint combination is outstanding and extremely well done. Note the sharpness of the black squares embedded in the bittersweet. Note also the patina on the back which is consistent with a board this age. An impressive board in superb condition.(ACE)

LION and TWO MONKEYS MECHANICAL BANK
The "Lion and Two Monkeys" mechanical bank was manufactured by Kyser & Rex, Philadelphia, Pa. It was based on a patent issued to Louis Kyser and Alfred C. Rexon July 17,1883. It should be noted that the monkeys arms are brass. The bank is all original (including the glass eyes) and in working condition. Note the great paint. (BOKE)

PUMPKIN & CLARET RED GAME BOARD with DRAWER
A 19th century one board pumpkin & black game board outlined in black with drawer and legs. Note the stress crack with an old repair as well as the square nails and the wonderful condition of the paint. This board was originally made with the drawer and has the original pull. Tammany Mechanical Bank
The Tammany Bank was manufactured by J&E Stevens Co. in Cromwell Ct. The patent was issued on December 23,1873 to John Hall. Hall used the weight of the coin to perform the mechanical action. New pennies don't work as well since they are lighter. The bank was advertised in the 1877 Enrichs' Fashion Quarterly for 70 cents each. The bank is all original and is in working condition. Note the very fine condition of the paint. (REWE)

The "Owl Turns Head"mechanical bank was manufactured by J&E Stevens Co. Cromwell, CT. It was based on patent No: 232 628 (this number appears on base of bank) issued to James H. Bowen, Philadelphia, PA. on September 28, 1880 ( this date also appears on base of bank). This bank has great original paint and is in excellent condition. The coin trap is dated Feb. 2,1875 is not original but very old. (KSTE)

Toad on Stump Mechanical Bank
The "Toad on Stump" mechanical bank was manufactured by J&E Stevens Co. Cromwell, Ct. It was patented February 2, 1885. This date is stamped on the coin trap on the bottom of the bank. This bank is all original and features great paint. There is a small hole on toad's back. I think it was always there since the paint around the hole shows no stress. (CEWE)
