A very rare three compartment 19th century dovetailed  walnut candle  box in outstanding condition. The left and right compartments are 11 5/8" x 5" with sliding tops that utilize finger pulls. *TOLE WARE CANISTER 19th CENTURY

Canisters of tin were made in a variety of sizes and shapes. This oval canister is nicely decorated on all sides and on the hinged lid. While there is some minor loss on the paint, the canister is in good condition and is quite colorful. A hook for hanging is attached to the back.

Wooden Foot Stove (Foot Warmer) 1740-1830

Feet were often kept warm by resting them on tin or wooden boxes that held a pan of hot coals. As one would expect, wooden boxes are much more rare! This hand fashioned foot warmer with its perforated sides in a heart design, the wire bale handle and a well used charcoal pan is a wonderful example. Repair on front lift panel. (BOK)
