AMERICAN MAPLE RED PAINTED BOWL WITH INCISED LIP
This is one of the lightest maple bowls that we have ever picked up. The light weight is the result of age and drying out. Sometimes when this happens, the bowl cracks. but this bowl is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. As you can see from the photos, the red paint has significant ware and the interior of the bowl has numerous cut scars from chopping food. The bowl was footed at one time but it has worn down after years of use.
