A nicely made small 18th century tavern table with a one top. Note the pegged bread board ends on the top to prevent warping. This early table features splayed turned legs with button feet, mortised and pegged construction and a stretcher base. The top is nailed on with square nails. It appears that the nails replaced the original pegs.
