Butterworker (Scoop) 18th Century

An American (probably New England) maple one piece butterworker which is beautifully hand carved (note details) with a slightly dished "bowl" and a comfortable wide arched handle which is easily held and well used. The butterworker has evidence, on the underside, of being thumped against containers to shake off bits of butter.
