EARLY 19th CENTURY TIN LANTERN

The glass is old and possibly original. Note that one of the glass panes has what appears to be a crack. However, it is a run in the glass when it was made. Everything else about this lantern is original including the carrying handle. Obviously, the strips around the lantern protected the glass. I also don’t think that this lantern was used outside too often. The patina is great and there is only minor rust on the surface. A wonderful early example.
