Grease(Crusie) Lamp 1680-1780

The earliest supplementary lighting form began in the ancient world and was common in Europe and America. The pan was filed with grease , fat scraps,  fish oil, vegetable oil or Whale oil. A simple wick or rag fed from the fuel. This is a nicely made grease lamp with a quality twist hanger. (LTCE)
