MID 18th CENTURY WI CANDLE STAND WITH RETRACTABLE ARM

An outstanding Pennsylvania origin ca:1740 wrought iron floor lamp with a retractable arm. The lamp features strong spring tension on the shaft which permits vertical adjustment and a hinged arm which permits the rolled candle socket to extend and rotate in a horizontal plane. Note the well designed acorn finial, the bulbous shaft and the triangular shield. The lamp sits on three strong feet. The lamp has some very, very minor rust. The lamp stand an impressive 49" tall with an extension of up to 17" from the shaft and a footing gait of 12".  (BTHEDE)
