PEASEWARE SUGAR BOWL OHIO ca: 1855

A footed PEASEWARE bowl. David A. Pease, the turner of  bowls, was noted for his exceptional turnings, varieties of finials and excellent craftsmanship. This covered urn shaped maple bowl has wonderful turnings with exceptional proportions and was crafted in America. The bowl features an acorn finial and was probably a sugar bowl. The overall condition of the bowl is excellent with no cracks or chips. (KOTE)
