SKEWER HOLDER WITH SKEWERS 1750-1800

SKEWERS WERE RODS OR BLADES USED TO SECURE MEAT, VEGETABLES, ETC. FOR ROASTING. SKEWERS WERE USUALLY HUNG FROM A DOUBLE ARMED HOLDER AT THE FIRESIDE. THIS A PARTICULARLY NICE BECAUSE OF THE DIAMOND SHAPED SCREWER HOLDER AND THE RAT TAIL ON THE ARMS WHICH IS SIMILAR TO THE RAT TAIL ON THE SCREWERS. (ALDK)
