WOODEN BALLOT/BANK BOX ca:1800

This is a very interesting box that was used  as a bank or ballots. I say this because the sliding top has numerous nail holes on the end and the box has matching nail holes on the top of the box panel which when nailed  together  would  secure the slide. The box is dovetailed with some t nail construction  (bottom). While there is some minor loss on the slide and the housing for the slide, this all original box is inexcellent condition.(BLTK)
