Description
We purchased this teapot a number of years ago from a collector. It was the collector’s belief that the teapot was a Thomas Danforth Boardman Hartford Conn. 1805-1850 teapot. In an attempt to affirm this we used A History of American Pewter by Charles F. Montgomery and on page 217 the mark belonged to Timothy Boardman 1798-1825. The teapot is 81/4″high and has two small dents. It has wonderful form with incised lines on base. (MLS)
