Both of these ladles are from the BRAMS COLLECTION OF WOODLANDS INDIAN ART which was the most extensive collection of its type in public or private hands. With a focus on woodlands sculpture (primarily bowls and ladles) Mr. Brams greatly aided in expanding the understanding of this important material. The ladle on the left is of Eastern American Indian heritage. Note the “heart” design on the end of the handle. Maple Wood.
