Fine three gallon stoneware crock with cobalt blue decoration, stamped W. ROBERTS BINGHAMTON N.Y. ca:1870, applied lug handles and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a large cobalt design of a crested bird with fan shaped tail and spotted breast perched on a flowering vine. Cobalt highlights to maker’s mark and capacity mark. Exceptional color. Some staining and minor flaking. (RTOKD)
