A wonderful looking sheet iron double grease (crusie slot) lamp. Both lamps are stylized with an embossed “tree or flower”. Note that the hanging hook has a twist and a nicely designed hook. ┬áThis early form of lighting was common in America in the 18th century. The pans were filled with grease fat scraps fish oil and after 1760 whale oil. A wick or rag was placed in the slots and was fed by the fuel. You could double the light by using both pans or you could use both pans separately. Great condition. (DTD) List Price:$250
