HANGING PAN LAMP-18th CENTURY

Description

The simple pan lamp required little ingenuity beyond the use of heat conducting materials when grease was to be the fuel. This resulted in a tendency for the fuel to drip. This problem was solved to some extent by using some sort of drip catchers or saucers to catch the drip.
This 18th century pan lamp with four wick channels to increase the light is extremely well made with a twist on both hangers. In addition the pan is divided to permit the use of only one wick. We have never seen  a pan lamp divided in this manner.(AHKT) Dimensions: 4″ x 4 1/2″ pan 20″ height List Price: $550
