Description
An 18th century spoon rack with a set of early spoons. This early spoon rack was researched extensively and it was determined that the wood was tulip and also established that it was probably made in New Jersey. Note the mortised hanger through the spoon rack and the cut-out behind the spoon holders for possible use by other implements (knives etc.). Note also the early repairs. It should also be pointed out that the rack was never painted and it retains a great old surface. Unique piece in outstanding condition. (HOTE)
