This is a real nice early 19th century adjustable candle stand. The conical base is filled with sand to prevent tipping over The friction grip permits vertical and horizontal adjustments. The nicely designed candle socket is provided a generous drip pan and and the candle snuffer is a nice additions. Not sure the snuffer is original to the lamp but it sure is old. A wonderful and unique lamp in excellent condition.. Probably American.(STKE)
