Description

A beautiful biblical sampler with 6 bible verses signed Mary Ann Morgan age 14 and dated 1894. Mary Ann Morgan lived from 1880 –  1969 in London Llansteffan and Dyfed West Wales. She was the daughter of John Morgan and granddaughter of Carmarthen Maltster. She married Arthur Baker (goldsmith of London) in 1899.
Note the extensive work on the border which includes trees birds  flowers dogs and numerous geometric forms. Note also the extensive use of color and excellent condition  of the sampler. (DCETE)
