Description
An elegant 19th century fireplace trivet that attaches to a fender or a screen. Note the decorated pierced brass plate on top of an iron base that has an arrow back foot. Note the marvelously turned wooden handle and the front hooks used for attaching to a low fender screen or other frame. This trivet was intended for a parlor or bedchamber fireplace instead of a kitchen fireplace.(LTK)
