DEERFIELD REVERSE BANNISTER BACK SIDE CHAIR 1720-1750

Description

The “Deerfield” chair from the  CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY that reversed its banisters i.e. not the flat but the round side faced forward . Note the sausage and ring front posts the curved crest and seat rail and the vase shaped back posts with their interesting finials. Note also the delicate turning of the double front stretcher as well as the early or original rush seat. Excellent condition. (KKTE)
