GOODWIN & WEBSTER OVOID JUG HARTFORD CONNECTICUT 1831-1840

Description

An ovoid stoneware jug stamped GOODWIN WEBSTER highlighted in cobalt blue. This is the word of Horace Goodwin and Mack Webster who ran a pottery in Hartford Connecticut from 1831-1840. The jug features an attractive early ovoid form with an incised neck. The jug is in very good condition with two small chips on spout and a couple of very minor chips on the base.(BATK)
