AMERICAN 19th CENTURY FORGED IRON PA. KETTLE LAMP

Description

Kettle lamps are usually attributed to Pennsylvania. It is trunnion mounted and has white-smithed rings on the shaped post. The central wick support eliminates the problem of drip. A very similar lamp is pictured in EARLY LIGHTING A PICTORIAL GUIDE, PUBLISHED BY THE RUSHLIGHT CLUB on p.41. 8 1/4” tall with a 4 7/8” diameter base, wrought iron, with a 1 3/4” diameter font.
