LATE 18-19TH CENTURY HEARTH PRICKET LIGHT


Description

A very nice piece of late 18th. to early 19th. century piece of wrought iron blacksmith made lighting. A tall table light having a pricket to hold the candle that is surrounded by an iron cage and ample drip pan for safety. The iron cage is a little loose but not damaged. The light has a small hook on the side to hold a candle snuffer and/or scissor wick trimmer. The scissor wick trimmer is included in the price. Note how the long support rod is attached to the large bottom tray supported by three stylized feet. The Pricket light measures 26 inches tall and the diameter of the base plate is 8 1/2 inches.
