A ca:1840 painted/wash firkin with swing handle, fingered hoops utilizing pegged as well as square nail construction. The FIRKEN is in excellent condition.
The firkin is signed EPHRAIM MURDOCK J. He was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts in 1802. The son of Ephraim and Zibah Murdock.(TAETE)
