Description

AN INTERESTING LATE 18th CENTURY SPLIT IRON TABLE LIGHT. A SINGLE IRON ROD WAS SMITHED BY SPLITTING THE BASE OF THE ROD INTO THREE LEGS WHICH WERE WORKED TO ESTABLISH A STRONG PERPENDICULAR FORM. EVEN THOUGH THE LIGHT IS MADE OF CRUDE IRON, IT HAS A PLEASING APPEARANCE. THE OPEN SEAM CANDLE CUP ONLY ADDS TO THE OVERALL CHARM. A RATHER DELICATE APPEARANCE WHEN ONE CONTEMPLATES THE ENTIRETY OF THE FORM. THE LIGHT MEASURES ABOUT 15 1/4” TALL AND THE SPLAY OF THE LEGS IS ABOUT. 5 1/4” (BTLEDE) LIST PRICE: $1600
