This is a particularly nice trammel and square crusie because of the large size of the crusie and length of the trammel. Crusies were one of the earliest supplementary lighting forms in Europe and America. The pan was filled with grease fat scraps fish oil vegetable oil or later with whale oil. Note that this crusie could burn up to four wicks and also note the twist on the arm as well as its pleasant shape. This 1700-1820 cruise and trammel were always together! From the Ken Olson collection. (AETE) Dimensions:Trammel 13 1/4″ to 20 1/2″ Crusie 6″ x 6 3/4″ 5 5/8″H
