WI RUSH /CANDLE HOLDER ca:1720

Description

An unusual tripod wrought iron ca:1720 rush/candle holder. Note that the legs are tapered and the feet are rectangular. Note also that the stem is a tapered rectangle which is flattened at the top to form a rather delicate pincher for rush or a splint. Of course the rolled candle socket and the arm holding the candle socket are one piece.
Good looking and in excellent condition. (KETE)
